Sierra Association of Foster Families Mission Statement

The Sierra Association of Foster Families creates, facilitates, and distributes an array of educational programs – the only ones of their kind in the United States child welfare foster-adoptive system – for improving, enriching, and empowering the lives of children, teens, and young adults.

Through our unique programs we address a multitude of afflictions affecting the current and future lives of youths – Food Insecurity, Binge Junk Food Eating, Dyslexia, Academic Struggles and Failure, Abuse and Neglect, Transitional Home Displacement, Social Disconnection, Social Isolation, Ambiguous Relationships, Moralistic Aggression, Play Deprivation.

These youths deserve hope, fun, healthy self-esteem, and academic success, and, we work diligently to capacitate such.
